Total Network Inventory is a PC audit and Network inventory software for office and large scale enterprise networks. Total Network Inventory interrogates all computers and notebooks on a network and reports back with complete information about OS, service packs, hotfixes, hardware, software, running processes, etc. on remote machines. Resolume is a live performance application. To understand Resolume's concepts it's best compared to a musical instrument. When you pluck the strings on a guitar you hear sound. When you pluck the strings in a certain order you hear a melody. The immediate output is also the final result. Compare this to regular video software like Final Cut Pro or After Effects.
Here, the current output is not the final result. Instead, you capture scenes, put them in the right order, add colour correction and maybe some effects and when you are happy with the movie you render it to disk and you have your final result. You can spend as much time in this production stage as you like. Resolume's, final result is always its current output, just like a guitar. There is no production stage, only a practice stage. As soon as you are live on stage (excuse the pun), what you see is what your audience gets.
