In this training series we will be starting out with learning what subdivision surfaces (SubD’s) are and how to manipulate them in different ways. These basics will pave the way to modeling advanced objects in Softimage while using only SubD’s. After learning all the basics of SubD modeling, we will exploit all of the powerful tools in Softimage in order to model out a detailed and realistic scene.
You will model many different objects from the real world in incredible detail, all the while using and learning special techniques that are normally learned from years of SubD modeling experience. You will be shown SubD modeling techniques that emphasize speed, efficiency, and ease. This training product includes all project files and assets needed to follow along with the instructor. Project files require Softimage 6.5 and up.

Questionaut is a really lovely point'n'click game, even if it's not terribly difficult (it is meant for kids - so shame on you if you're struggling with the educational bits), where you are on a quest to recover your friend's hat which you pursue in your knowledge powered balloon. Glory in the fine graphics, and make sure you turn up the volume to get the most atmospheric experience. And where has this fine game come from? Well it's from the same games stable as Samorost (Amanita Design) and was commissioned by The Beeb, so it has some pukka credentials as well as being a joy to play.
