A great book for reflective, thinking people who are open to considering all avenues of development and a no go area for non reflective people who think they know it all or those who just want to read and run, rather than contemplate and consider.
I did not start out reading it with any preconceptions as I had no understanding of what the contents were going to be. I am an avid reader of Ester and Jerry Hicks, Stephen Covey, Wayne Dyer, Napoleon Hill etc so in some ways it is no surprise that I like the contents of this book as it is a great review of some great motivational and inspirational people and studies. However I like the philosophy and great use of reflections and studies from other authors. I really like the quotes; I felt they were wonderfully pertinent which really aids the reader in understanding the concepts being discussed.
I was very interested in the section on creativity and the ideas raised here that are not common place in the workplace.
The book is worth buying for the book list alone, as already stated, a good review of some great authors under fearlessness, optimism, creativity, uniqueness and storytelling, along with some great web sites too.
On a personal note I don't like books crammed with words on a small font with no space anywhere. This book is well set out with plenty of space which really aids in reading (and note making in your own book!)
I think the book is a refreshing looking a self development without it being in management speak, with great review of literature and has the potential for the public sector to take this positive and inspirational message on board......and consider............maybe!
