Avid has announced Pro Tools 9, a major upgrade that makes the audio mixing platform compatible with third-party interfaces for the first time. Avid has put the finishing touches on Pro Tools 9 (and HD) announced today for placing on the market on Nov. 12. The application claiming Snow Leopard is an initial emphasis on more flexible working as it is used alone or with audio interfaces Avid and third-party vendors, with the same protocol support EUCON to use more control surfaces or audio controllers such as Artist Series or Pro Series.
” Pro Tools customers – from the aspiring enthusiast to the professional- can now create sophisticated, great sounding mixes, whether they’re at home, on the road, or working in a large facility using an open, flexible workflow for enhanced collaboration and creativity”, Avid said in a press release.
This version supports up to 96 simultaneous audio tracks voire192 by the software used (Pro Tools HD Pro Tools 9 or 9 with the Complete Production Toolkit 2 option at just over 2000 ˆ), 128 instrument tracks, 512 MIDI tracks, 256 buses and 160 internal auxiliary tracks. New features are highlighted, such as automatic compensation of latency, the tool multitrack Beat Detective or more open to other applications by the supported formats for export OMF / AAF / MXF.
New EUCON support lets Pro Tools users control the mixer through Avid consoles like the Artist Series or Pro Series. Pro Tool 9 also comes with features that allow users to make more mixes, faster. The kit contains more audio tracks and busses.
Pro Tools 9 will replace Pro Tools LE and includes features such as internal ADC, Beat Detective, Music Production and DV toolkits components, 96 mono or stereo voices, Windows 7 support and many others. Pro Tools 9 will be available everywhere, starting November 12, and will be priced at $ 599.

0. Make sure you have gdb installed. Test by typing "gdb test" into terminal.
1. Uninstall any versions of Pro Tools that are already installed
2. Install Pro Tools, Complete Production Tookit 2 and HEAT (in the optional installers folder) from the full iso. Download from here.
3. Use the [K]'ed installer to overwrite the necessary files
4. Launch Pro Tools from the loader and everything should work as expected
