Helmed by Kevin Hooks, this “smashing” action yarn stars Patrick Swayze as unlicensed trucker Jack Crews, who’s tricked into transporting a cache of illegal assault weapons, with a driving partner (Randy Travis) and dual armed escorts along for the ride. But as soon as Jack hits the road, his boss’s cohort (Meat Loaf) — a religious fanatic who wants to get his hands on the cargo — dispatches his henchmen to hijack the payload.
