On the eve of Level 42’s 30th anniversary, Universal Music announced the release of ‘Living It Up’, a beautifully packaged 4-disc box set that includes all 34 of the band’s A-side single releases, including ‘World Machine (remix)’, which was a US only release, a collection of long lost studio recordings, previously unreleased demos and rare tracks that have only previously been available on vinyl. The box set’s fourth disc is the much rumoured Level 42 acoustic album.

Recorded at the beginning of 2010 by Level 42’s lead singer & bassist Mark King and keyboards & vocalist Mike Lindup, the acoustic album features stunning acoustic versions of ten classic Level 42 tracks. It is the first time anything like this has been attempted in the band’s history – and the results are quite brilliant.
