Walter Jones, an eccentric billionaire, is found dead on the Maldivian island of Sagorah. There, he had built an enormous Art Deco tower that he hoped to turn into an exclusive holiday resort. A young woman is found unconscious by African peasants after her plane crashes following a rebel attack. When she wakes up, she finds herself in the town of Madargane, in the harem of the local prince, with no recollection of previous events. She also has no idea why she traveled to Africa in the first place.
